Addie Houle

Adelard (Addie) Houle, of Manitoba, was born on September 5, 1918. He volunteered to serve overseas with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles and was wounded during battle in Cleave, Germany, resulting in the loss of his right leg.

Upon his return to Canada, he began working with the federal government and became a lifelong member of The War Amps Manitoba Branch. Mr. Houle held various positions throughout the years, including President, and served on several committees.

In his spare time, he enjoyed bowling, cribbage, carpentry and playing music.

Mr. Houle passed away on December 5, 2008.
