Bill Fredenburg

William (Bill) Fredenburg was born on April 1, 1918, in Port Perry, Ontario. He enlisted in July 1940 and served with the 4th Anti-Tank Regiment. While completing a training exercise in England in December 1942, he was injured and lost his left leg below the knee.

Mr. Fredenburg joined The War Amps Toronto Branch a year later and served as Treasurer. He was known for visiting schools and community groups to give presentations about the Association and assisted with accepting donations on behalf of The War Amps.

He was the recipient of the Association’s Distinguished Service Membership.

Mr. Fredenburg passed away on January 25, 2018.
