Headshot of Bruce Palmer

1924-2008

Bruce Palmer

Bruce Palmer was born on March 11, 1924. He interrupted his schooling to serve his country in the Second World War, where he lost his left leg below the knee due to a gunshot wound. After the war, he returned to school and graduated with a law degree from the University of Toronto, establishing his own general law practice.

Mr. Palmer was a proud member of The War Amps, holding the positions of:

  • Association Solicitor, The War Amps
  • Branch Solicitor, Toronto and Hamilton branches
  • Member, Key Tag Advisory Committee

He was known for having served The War Amps in a distinguished manner and for being a hard worker for the rights of returning veterans. His in-depth knowledge of the law and his skills in the courtroom helped many amputees through difficult situations.

Mr. Palmer passed away on March 21, 2008.
