Milton Fitzpatrick

Milton Fitzpatrick, of Charlottetown, was born on March 23, 1923, and enlisted with the Essex Scottish Regiment, Second Division, in June 1943. He served in France and Belgium in 1944, and while in Belgium, he lost his left leg below the knee from a land mine explosion while on a night patrol.

Mr. Fitzpatrick was discharged from service in August 1945 and joined the Prince Edward Island Branch of The War Amps once he returned home. He served in the positions of:

  • President and Secretary-Treasurer, Prince Edward Island Branch
  • National Director, Prince Edward Island Branch

He received the Distinguished Service Membership, Meritorious Service Membership and Honorary CHAMP Membership from The War Amps.

Mr. Fitzpatrick passed away on December 29, 2011.
